Après "The Remedy" et "Lucid", on a donc droit à un troisième extrait bénéficiant d'un clip dont les textes introspectifs donnent une profondeur à la musique du groupe, celle-ci étant portée par la voix claire de Jamie Hails qu'on a pourtant plutôt l'habitude d'entendre hurler. Le tout est évidemment agrémenté d'un sympathique solo de guitare. Pas étonnant que ce morceau soit le préféré de l'album pour les compères de chez Novelists. The Mortal Coil est en écoute intégrale sur BandCamp et Youtube.
