[Vidéo] Crystal Lake : "Devilcry" (Paroles / Lyrics)

Crystal Lake est peut-être en train de véritablement changer la donne du Métalcore mondial avec son dernier album Helix paru le 15 février 2019 via Sharptone Records.

Après avoir présenté deux morceaux servis par deux vidéos en guise de promotion pour la sortie de ce nouvel effort ("Aeon" et "Lost In Forever"), c'est au tour de "Devilcry" de recevoir des images. Comme à son habitude, le groupe japonais n'a pas lésiné sur la mise en scène et le choix des images, le morceau traitant le difficile sujet du deuil, avec des textes puissants qui en disent long sur les capacités d'écriture de la bande.

Si ce morceau est remarquable, c'est aussi parce que Crystal Lake démontre une nouvelle fois qu'il est possible d'innover dans le genre Métalcore, le groupe proposant ici un riff principal solide et violent, des passages beaucoup plus aériens et même des couplets rappés (qui rappellent un peu le style de None Like Joshua), le tout avec évidemment cette petite touche d'Electro caractéristique. Crystal Lake est véritablement en train de tracer sa voix et créer son style : un sacré tour de force et un gros pied de nez à la scène occidentale !
