[Vidéo] AlphaOmega : "Darkest Ocean" (Paroles / Lyrics)

Si AlphaOmega est un groupe encore (très) peu connu (moins de 500 likes sur la page Facebook du groupe à l'heure de la rédaction de cette chronique), il y a de fortes chances pour que les amoureux du Métalcore - et notamment de groupes comme Architects plus particulièrement - soient déjà tombés sur des reprises de certains morceaux par une certaine Lea Moonchild au piano (voir sa page Youtube). Cette dernière est en effet la frontwoman d'AlphaOmega.

Si la formation allemande se présente comme un quintet sur certaines photos, on notera l'absence d'un batteur dans cette toute première vidéo proposée par le groupe qui a sorti un EP en 2016 et duquel "Darkest Ocean" est extrait. Avec ce titre, AlphaOmega s'attaque à un sujet sensible : la crise des migrants en Méditerranée, les textes nous mettant à la place de l'un d'entre eux pour mieux nous faire comprendre les risques pris par toutes ces personnes qui tentent de rallier l'Europe au péril de leurs vies... Un texte engagé, donc, et profondément humaniste, la vidéo se terminant sur une invitation aux dons pour l'ONG Sea-Watch.

Musicalement, c'est un peu comme si les riffs d'Architects avaient rencontré la voix de Rolo Tomassi, Lea Moonchild alternant entre chant incroyablement clair et growl beaucoup plus caverneux. L'EP d'AlphaOmega est en écoute intégrale sur BandCamp.
